My poor baby was too small to create any ashes.

The memorial stone  says:

Sweet little flower
of heavenly birth
you were too fair
to bloom on Earth.

The same stone can be seen here: http://www.thecomfortcompany.net/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=251

I buried him/her in our backyard, right next to the lilac bush and flowers that we had planted. I will post a picture now that my phone is working again.

I really like that website. I actually got the stone at a local store called The Andersons. There were soo many to choose from (all really great inscriptions) but when I saw this one, I KNEW it was the one.

It was kind of cathartic buying the stone. I went with my best friend since 4th grade who lost her child 2 years ago to miscarriage. I bought her one as well b/c when she lost her baby, I was sympathetic, but I don't think it connected in my head how devastated she was. Now, unfortunately, I know first had. I wanted to make it up to her & show her that I really did/do care, just in case I was insensitive during that time.

that is great that you have your baby close to you, my first miscarriage is buried up behind my grams house. under a wild rose bush.
it is something there really are no words for, you can tell someone how you feel but never really get it across unless they have had the loss themselves.
its good you have someone close to you.
