and i have a quick question. i really want to do a layout with ashlee simpson...but i don't know how. all i know how to do is change the colors through lj. Do you have to be a paying user? or do you know how to do it? if you do ...would ya mind helping a 'newbie' i guess you would call it;) out? thanks.

You don't have to be a paying user. You just simply need codes called "Overrides." They're almost like HTML, except just a little different. There's about three different sections of it that I'm using right now.

TALK_LINKS <--- to change your comment links

LASTN_WEBSITE <--- to change the text in the top box with links to your userinfo

and the main part GLOBAL_HEAD <--- backgrounds, colors, and link styles go in there

The community htmlhelp is really good, because if you have a question on ANYTHING, they will answer it.

But if you have any questions or need any tips, just ask me. I'd be happy to help you. ;D
