You probably want to register your cell phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry (donotcall.gov). If you don't you could receive calls from telemarketers starting in like eight days or so (according to my dad, although I couldn't find any particular start date on the website) and if it takes up minutes/costs money for you to receive

But it does exist. And since we put our landlines on it long ago we've been okay for the most part, so there's really no harm in it.
