I copped Funkadelic's Maggot Brain and Idris Muhammad's Power Of Soul (containing "Loran's Dance" - the Fender Rhodes intro was played by Bob James, and provides the backbone for "To All The Girls" from Paul's Boutique). Working on gettin Main Source's Breaking Atoms right now ( Read more... )

1. Do you like go-go music? I imagine you do.
2. Oh boy do I love the name Idris, but hubby says since it's the name of a dictator somewhere it's out for the baby. Pity.

Outside of E.U. and Trouble Funk, I don't know too much go-go stuff. I don't dislike it though.

(To wit: when I was a kid, I had a tape with Metallica's ...And Justice For All one one side and E.U.'s Livin' Large on the other. An odd mix, to be sure...)

Using that logic, I'd heretofore rule out 'George' being the name of any babies too :)
