Meme, via selenak via penknife: Make a list of your favorite pairings and explain who would pick up the socks and why.

I can't improve on penknife's answers for combinations of Jack, Elizabeth, Will, and James but, once again, nobody loves Barbossa

Oh my, insane laughs just when I needed them. you never fail to deliver with clairvoyant timing.

I simply can't pick a favorite; I can just see Barbossa and Jack hiding each other socks, and emo Bill, mother henning Jack without mercy and yep, Jack the monkey is an ornery enough little beast to do exactly that in breaking up a pair...at least it's more novel than postulating one's clothes washer (or the dryer) is actually a mini-black hole that's only starting with the odd sock and is going to suck the planet and solar system out of existence eventually...

I might suggest, however, that Jack perhaps harbors a rather-fonder-than-one-might-at-first-suspect memory of the first pair of socks Bill ever knitted him, and how he wore them to tatters before finally disposing of them.

But then again, your Jack/Bill always makes me a little starry-eyed.

Jack's not a violent man--unless sorely provoked. What really gets to him is that the monkey brings only Barbossa's socks back.
