Should I be worried that reading this made me want to watch CotBP again?

Thought so.

I love the way you unpack what's happening on screen and unfold a darker and more scurrilous tale. And I especially love the fuzziness in Jack's brain when he tries to think about plural Williams. That way lies madness, luv. No, thataway. The way you came in ...

Thank you! I like to think of it as scraping off the layers of Disneyclean to reveal the dirt below. And Jack is so lovely when he's fuzzy...

If you still want to watch it again, have I mentioned I own the DVD?

Oh my goodness! You have committed J/W!!!

Why are birthdays so cruelly crammed with fun, family, meals out, presents to be unwrapped, etc? They leave no time for READING FABULOUS THINGS. It is very unjust. But rest assured: I CAN"T WAIT.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I meant it about not being able to wait. Can read v fast when required.

LOVE IT SO MUCH. So deliciously familiar, with a whole new layer on top! Too fab! More later. You, ma'am, are well clever.

Heheheh! Good to know you're having birthday fun. (I happen to know you have wonderful cartographical goodies elsewhere.) Enjoy!

How I love it when you tell us what was REALLY going on in the movie, lol!! And I love your Jack so much, the one from Tall Ship Tales, all grown up now.

I never considered that Jack didn't know who he was conversing with at first, after William clattered down the stairs. It's so interesting to see the things others pick up on!

no proper respect for supernatural claptrap - :D

He’d never found ‘real’ and ‘unreal’ to be particularly useful concepts. - This is one of the reasons Jack is always a step ahead of everyone in CotBP, I think. I mean, he's cunning and always coming up with plans B,C & D even before A is put into motion, but he's also more open to the supernatural and able to go with the flow. Thinking outside the box, if you will. ;)

Jack smiled his fourth most infuriating smile. - *snort!*

persuading the boy to trade down from [...] aristocratic maiden [...] to a depraved [...] pirate old enough to be his father - Hmm, that does sound like a bit of a tough sell.

I know who he is and I’d still know if he was calling himself Wenceslas O’Duckbuttocks. - That nearly had me on the floor!

logic of punishing those who inflict slaughter and mayhem upon you by forcing them to ( ... )

It's great to know you're reading and liking! (And I've just posted part 3 so I'm ahead, for once.)

I think Jack does *everything* outside the box! But, yeah, one of the secrets of his success is definitely that he doesn't waste time worrying about whether things are behaving in a logical, rational manner.

You really do have an icon for every occasion, don't you? That one is perfect for these stories!
