Don't know if it's worth the effort, but when we planted catnip, we made a little chicken wire & 2x2 (or maybe only a 1x) cage for it, so when the neighborhood cats tried to roll in it, they weren't able to flatten it.

I thought about that, but at this point the yard is so wet I don't think animals *want* to lie on it. Sink or swim, little catnip!

So, you want to put it in a tiny ball on your belt where it can suffer in cold isolation until you need it for sudden combat?

I wouldn't think lavender would be a good fighter or bait for Team Rocket.
