We're seeing Interpol tomorrow night at the erstwhile Metro, now the Palace. The thing is, it's a sold-out gig and I can't stand for very long these days. I'm familiar with the layout of the old Metro but I'm not sure how much it has changed since it became the Palace

The auditorium is the same layout as before. I think they've added some extra gathering areas (I'm sure with seating, at least mostly) in the various levels of foyers, and they've added a smokers' balcony above the main doors.

Thanks, love. I need to ring the venue to find out what time they come on - it's not like I can fill the time getting drunk anymore :)

There are seats up in the balcony. But they will probably get taken early.
