for the record I absolutely agree on mouriniho being the one to replace him, but i reackon mouriniho would have left whereever he was for the man u job, so this being more about why mouriniho has run his contract down this year, rather than why ferguison is leaving this year.......

Pretty sure RVP's "you guys" statement was forcing through a move by being a dick. Would have been hard for him to criticise the direction of the club and then be welcomed back for the next season. Doesn't contradict your theory though.
