Seeing as I've had to get up to do my fantasy football, I might as well share some thoughts/piss poor predictions about ( dr who )

Zoe and Nyssa suffered similar fates, for the most part, which if anything makes your point even more valid.

the one played by peter davison's daughter

I'm willing to bet that character will never be mentioned again.

Interesting theory, but I suspect they've covered the overlapping timeframes thing to death with River Song. I think Clara's a trap designed to intrigue the doctor. Probably by daleks. I guess they did that with the plastic Amy thing last season, but that was more of a distraction than anything else.

I'd have thought the same, except that the original script had her dying at the end of the episode, and moffatt asked RTD if it could be changed so she lived, apparently...... if that's true I don't think he'd have done it for no reason.

Oswin as a trap would work, but I doubt it's the daleks - either they tried to convert someone they knew was a trap into a dalek, or else it was done after oswin wiped all the records of the doctor out of the dalek's collective head

Or did she....? I mean the whole set-up was completely ludicrous (a prison planet with a forcefield that can only be deactivated from the inside, really?). Then again they've done the "OMG teh daleks were secretly behind everything" at least twice before in the new series.

Just noticed that in the most recent episode he asks if she's a trap, so she probably isn't.

oh but hang on - there's an idea

maybe she's not quite a "trap" but sort of a "trap" but organised by River, in order to get the Doctor out of his post-Amy rut, rather than anything else
