Can't believe about them asking you to fund raise for them on the street. An organisation like that should be able to afford to pay people for that sort of thing. Ah well, at least they got you on the race.

This all sounds a lot like my experience of donating to them via monthly direct debit. I got so sick of the repeated phone-calls badgering me to double my monthly donation, and then double it again, and again, and again, that eventually I told them that if they ever phoned me again I would stop donating altogether. (Which did actually work, slightly to my surprise!)

I don't actually want to stop donating, because I know what amazing work they do, and have a friend who works for them and is clearly doing amazing things, too. And I do get that part of the reason they're able to be so amazing is because of their aggressive approach to fund-raising. But still, feeling like I was nothing but a cash cow to them got old pretty quickly.

It seems more widespread than people imagine. Cancer Research behaved in a similarly offensive manner post Race for Life and wouldn't be told, even after I cut them off. Their pestering became more intrusive than an unpaid debt, but without the regulation. Offering to copy in the Charity Commission on their behaviour finally stopped them.
