It's been a long time since I last posted a book review, and here are the book reviews on the books I've read since then.

Why bother about the book review, you might ask? Well, it's something in my long term plan that is to keep track of the stuff I've read and like. It kinda force me to think deeper and beyond what's on the surface. It could be a ( Read more... )

I don't want to sound condescending or anything, but your English is so wonderfully complex and sophisticated now that it's impossible to distinguish you from a native speaker of the language ( ... )

Oh please I'm blushing *fans self*
My english level is definitely thanks to y'all my true ABC&Aussie friends and GROB&John too, but I pretend they don't exist from time to time!!!!!

But then again, I have been slacking on ameliorating myself with the literature critiques as well as updating the social realities. Oh Pilger and Frost and Chomsky! I've failed you!!! *breaks down in tears*

P.S. Mr Rochester (McRoch-supremey) trumps Mr. Darcy any day.

I don't know about that. Theres something about a rich, handsome, young man willing to do anything for you which is really romantic especially considering the lengths he went to prove his love. Mr Darcy has his appearance still despite how sweet Jane and Mr Rochesters love is.

THIS!!!!

Let's put it this way, Mr Darcy is more of the dreamy type, whereas Mr Rochester's more for the 'goths'. It's like asking which is better, rose or oak. Most would say rose, but oak does have equally adorable qualities that don't come to you at first glance. Well, not that Darcy=rose or Rochester=oak... Just saying.

You think Mr Darcy is less dark than Mr Rochester?! Okay, you got me there. But that's what makes Rochester so delicious. He's a broken man, blind (literally) and destitute. He nees the small and plain Jane to rescue him out of his deep depression.

And as she leads him out into the garden everyday, he will think "I am not deserving of this fair woman" and she will reply, as if reading his thoughts, "Should I be offered all the riches in the world, I shalt not give up a day with thee."

*swoons*

I loved LIfe of Pi, although it wasn't that challenging as compared to other books in terms of language (ie. Pride and Prejudice).
I agree P and P and zombies is really awful, even if it does have occasional funny moments. I should probably read the original again just to fall in love with Mr Darcy again!

LOL, definitely not language wise, but the ending is mentally challenging, i suppose.

And P&P&Z=EPIC FAIL!!!
