...loose the wish to still the rain, the storm about to be... Here am I, voyager into life."

I've come to the realization that if I only post when I do something extraordinary, or if something extraordinary happens to me, I may never get to post at all here, other than LJI entries. And, fond as I am of therealljidol, it's not the be-all-and-end-all purpose of ( Read more... )

:::wavesback::: Hello!

The Jethro Tull that I love, I love madly. There's a fair amount of Tull that I appreciate for what it is, but doesn't get much replay. I like about half their output.

There was a period when I posted anything I considered even vaguely interesting in my LJ. Maybe it was a lolcat pic or a funny video link, or a bad joke I'd heard.

I really should start doing that again; a lot of other folks seemed to like it when I did that... and more importantly, *I* liked doing that.

I'd be interested in a "day-in-the-life" post from you - a post about what you do all day that keeps you too busy to post every day, or every three days, as I had recommended you to do in the past.

I loved the one that bookishgeek did a few weeks ago.

I'm inspired to do one myself, although I don't know that I'm clever enough to do one as photo-heavy as hers.

As soon as you mentioned Craig Ferguson, I knew which clip it was going to be. ;) The "intellect and romance" line may be the smartest thing anyone's ever written about DW.

I've been flipping back and forth between that video and Craigy's FIREBALL XL-5 one. He and I are very nearly the same age, and he and I fell in love with NASA at the same time. I love his autobiography, the early chapters of which touch on how much he wanted to be a spaceman and sail across the universe.

::::rueful grin::::

No, "the green terror" is nothing as tame as allergies.

I have a traumatic anniversary in April that I still get triggered by every year, decades later. The whole month gets tainted by it, particularly when Spring is at its loveliest.
