I've had this bookmarked ever since I found it two years ago, and it's appropriate for this blog and for this moment in time, not only because of National Poetry Month, but because Winter seems to be refusing to leave, and I want to stay huddled, like Owl, in front of a fireplace with a warm beverage.

I've had Owl at Home on my to-read list for forever, and this makes me think I really need to move it up. What an excellent quote! That's a boy after my own heart--and experience. My sister and I used to put sad LP's on our little plastic record player so we could work ourselves up to tears. And my younger daughter would *definitely* cry over the abandoned mashed potatoes and lost spoon!
