Oh anon, this left me wanting.

The story itself was amazing, from the way you incorporated the switch to the actual intricacies of the corruption. I felt so bad for Yagyuu in this, first because of Niou and then secondly because of his family. Don't get me started on Sanada and Yukimura. THEY BROKE MY HEART THE ENTIRE TIME. Even if Yukimura came in at the end and saved the day, there wasn't any real resolution between them and it was just absolutely heartbreaking. Yukimura, why do you have to be so cold?! /cries

Thank you, anon.

I chose the Sanada/Yagyuu paring because I really love Yagyuu and he's usually the most neglected part of D1 in fandom. I wanted to give him some love spotlight. I felt awful for doing this to him the whole time.... but somehow that was the only plotty line that worked out I thought of like 5 different verses but they fell apart in the building process. I wanted it to make it more shippy but it didn't happen. It was totally Yukimura's fault.

I would have loved to go a bit deeper into Sanada and Yukimura's story, but this was already way too long and what do you write for the Alpha Pair writer. Anyway, I'm really glad you liked it. You are a great writer and I admire your works, so it was a bit of nerve wrecking :')

I adore Sanada/Yagyuu too. (One of my guilty pleasures, I admit.) The ambiguity of the romances was lovely, truly.

I don't even know how to respond to this. I didn't know I was the SanaYuki author?!

Thank you again. ♥

Helping beta this through several versions and ideas was a ride, as always. I love your attention to detail and your care in creating the intricacy of the plot. It was super fun to watch Yagyuu get some love screentime, and I totally loved this (even if we had to severely cutback on Renji trying to turn this into a story about him). I adored everything about this and I'm so glad you managed to finish on time, because this was lovely.

Yukimura is STILL killing me
