After finishing up his first rounds for the day, Cade went looking for Wilson - ostensibly to check in with him over the patients, but in actuality just to say hi. What he found was an office with a distinct lack of Wilson inside of it. Unless Wilson just wasn’t answering Cade’s knocks, but he doubted that.
Giving up for the time being, Cade made his way back towards the elevators. On his way though, he happened to glance into the Diagnostic office and spotted House inside. Seeing that House had seen him, Cade smirked a little and doubled back to the door before pushing it open.
“I was starting to think you were a figment of my imagination,” Cade greeted dryly, obliquely pointing out that they hadn’t seen each other since House had ended up giving him a lift home. Though he tried to deny it even to himself, that night had been on Cade’s mind quite a bit. “But then I’ve heard rumours you’re very good at hiding yourself away around the place.”
