Curiosity killing the cat, maybe?

Jul 06, 2007 15:39

Who: House, Cade, Wilson might make some kind of cellular appearance at some stage
Where: The same bar they both went to last time
When: May 22nd, just after 5.30pm.

House pulled into the parking lot and secured a spot as close to the bar’s entrance as possible. He eyed the bar as he killed the engine, and wondered for the umpteenth time this day if going to the bar with Cade for a drink was a smart idea.

It was just a drink. A casual drink. He wasn’t sure why he was so uncertain about this… except for the part where he’d already been to the bar with Cade once before and never told Wilson about it, and this somehow felt like he was being deceiving.

He pulled his helmet off and slid the key from the ignition. Regardless as to how tetchy he felt about meeting Cade, part of him wanted to be here. Out of curiosity - and not just curiosity towards himself and wanting to see what interest he held in other men, if in fact he had any and it wasn’t just some stage he was going through because of the change in direction in his life. But he was also aware that Wilson could find out about this, and House couldn’t help being curious towards how Wilson would react if he did. A test of sorts, perhaps.

He dismounted and gathered up his bag, helmet and cane, and after he secured his bike he headed into the bar. He scouted the place and couldn’t see Cade anywhere yet. He made his way towards the bar and sat down on a stool without taking his bike jacket off, then ordered just a glass of water for now before checking his watch. Just after five thirty. Cade had five minutes to get here, or he was off.
