He's backed down since, and it's now retitled "a radical change".

Dear me, so he has. I'm disappointed in him. I do agree that his earlier language was polemical, but not more than the situation called for. The time to yell "Fire!" is while it's small and contained enough to be put out, after all, and while you can still get everyone to safety. Once the whole place has gone up in flames, it's a little late.
