Oh my god...I was tearing up within the the first five minutes of seeing Sam and Dean. The lies....they're just so...ugh. And their frustration with each other makes me crazy, lol.
I understand that Dean is angry with Sam. How could he not be? Sam's lying up a storm and hiding things from him. I get it, being the oldest sibling myself; it hurts when the younger ones don't need you anymore or they treat you like a parent they don't want around. It's understandable but Dean isn't exactly reciprocating. Sam said all that shit but guess what Dean, you had an axe in your hands, ready to kill your only brother. The he holds it over Sam's head. I'm sure that Sam has things to say about that. In any case, both boys are the wrong here. I wish someone would cast a magic spell to show them how stupid they're being about this. Or even better one that makes them see the other one's point of view. That would be awesome. And extremely angsty.
Man, why is Pamela dead?(I find it hilarious that she has the same name as my sister) First the lady was blinded by an angel, then she was stabbed & killed by a demon. She never had a chance from the minute she met those Winchesters. But it is totally everyone's fault since they didn't have the foresight (horrible pun) to even salt the doors and windows. It does bother me that they didn't even try to help her, hell she didn't even try to save herself. They just sat there waiting for her to go.
Castiel impersonated Bobby! I absolutely loved that. Especially because I thought that the Bobby contact was becoming overkill. I love Bobby but the man knows too much. I missed Castiel. I'm glad Uriel wasn't around.
I noticed when they were talking to that guy that got shot Sam took on Dean's usual role of ask the creepy questions. I don't think it's anything major, just showing the change in Sam but it was still interesting to watch.
I loved that they were wearing gloves in the cemetery. It was adorable for no reason. Sam's line about the normal rules don't apply to them freaked me out a little. I don't know why, it just doesn't sit right with me that Sam said it so matter of factly. Plus the fact that Sam has embraced that he's a freak and Dean wants to be considered normal was weird, lol. And Sam used his powers! He used telekinesis!! OMG! What the hell has he been doing with Ruby to advance this far?
And when they first get outside of the astral projection? I love how they will bicker like 10 year olds even when having their problems with each other. So brotherly.
I like the continuity of bringing Tessa back. That scene where Dean and Tessa were talking about being back together, when I first watched it I thought Tess was bored with what he was saying. But I think she reacted the way she did because knows what's in store for Dean. That makes me nervous.
Lying to the dead kid, Sam? Not cool.
The ghost training session was great. Cole was adorable. Plus it's always hilarious to see Sam & Dean get hit by children.
Obvious trap is obvious but it was nice to see the boys tag-teaming. And they got to see what feels like being on the other end of a salt round. Oh and Alastair #3 copied Alastair #1 voice so well it freaked me out. So well that it still freaks me out. It makes him a little hard to understand though. I love Alastair, he's so slimy. Everything he says sounds dirty, lmao. And like me, he has a crush on Dean. Plus he seems to be the only demon who actually likes hell. He must have been a pleasant human being.
I did not notice the Four Horsemen reference the first time around. Holy Shit.
"There's no such thing as miracles." I knew I didn't trust Castiel but I don't if I'd actually like it if he were lying about something.
Pamela's last words to Sam were heavy.
Ok, what's up with timeline? Sex and Violence was the last episode and it seemed to put us in at the latest in February. This episode seems to take place in December. The definite dates we have are:
4.07 (It's a Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester) was set the last days of October.
The episodes in between are in November
4.11 (Family Remains) was about a month after the previous episode making it December.
There's no definites from then until this episode.
So the from 4.11 until now it's been December? That's a pretty busy month. Or I'm thinking about this too much.
