1/9 SukaJ and 1/10 Honjani

Jan 11, 2007 03:02

Hi everyone, Happy New Year!! I hope you all have a wonderful 2007 :-)

I just wanted to share what went on in this week's SukaJ and Honjani (spoilers ahead!)

First of all, SukaJ was a New Year's special and had two guests: Hikomaro (he's appeared before... he's a gourmet reporter) and Uno Kanda. Uno-chan recently got engaged so the boys asked her questions about her fiance and such. She brought FOOD for the boys and we all know how they'll react to good food!

The main part of SukaJ was to guess what Hikomaro would say to three kinds of food that Uno recommends. The first one was real good sushi; second one was real good crab; and the third one was real good cake. Hikomaro is known for his unique way of reporting how good the thing he's eating is, so the boys had to guess what he'd say. Whoever gets at least one right out of the three gets to eat all of it (sushi, crab and cake).

[spoiler!!!!] The only boys that got one of them right (or close enough, decision made by Uno-chan) were Subaru and Yasu. They got to eat everything while the other boys just sat there and watched. Hina said that he had asked the staff if they could have some after the cameras were off, but they told him no. So, Subaru and Yasu enjoyed the food while getting reporting lessons from Hikomaro. It was funny because Subaru was concentrating on eating while Yasu made all sorts of happy faces to tell the others how good it was. They were all pissed in the end, of course, because they were jealous. Ryo even said, "I think I'm going to start hating Yasu because of TV Tokyo (the channel that SukaJ is on)." Anyway, this was a great episode especially for Yasu fans like myself!

Honjani... I just watched it... it was hilarious! This fortune teller guy came to predict what kind of fortune the boys would have in the year 2007. He first basically summarized their personalities and futures just by looking at their names and birthdays. They were pretty accurate, too!! Then, they did a few quizzes to figure out what color wallets, underwear etc. would bring good luck and what kind of physical characteristic would show how good a person's luck is. When they were talking about underwear, they teased Sugimoto-san (the announcer) that she should be buying more red underwear (which is the color that brings good love luck) and she said that she should stock up on it. The boys started checking what color underwear they were wearing that day so that was fun too. They also announced the Top 12 birth months with good luck. Let me just say that my birth month was the worst... :( If you know my birth month, then you'd know that some K8 boys had the same misfortune as myself!!

THE OKAN WAS HILARIOUS!!! Probably one of the funniest I've seen. [spoiler ahead] They wonder why Mrs. Shibutani is late again, but before this crazy obachan came in the scene... my goodness I was laughing so hard when I saw Mrs. Nishikido's NEW HAIR STYLE. RYO-CHAN!!!! You're getting uglier and uglier by the week!!!! LOL In the previous okan, I was surprised at how Mrs. Nishikido's make up was too much. This week... she changed her hair... oh geez, hahaha. Anyway, Mrs. Shibutani comes in like a crazy woman again and whines that her pet fish Kin-chan ("Kin" as in Kingyo=goldfish) was missing. She has this net with her and she starts slamming it randomly like crazy. Then, she catches something... yes, something that means A LOT to her I'm sure... [skip if you really don't want to know what it was] She caught Mrs. Yasuda <3

Anyway, their game for this week was to catch the gold fish with this paper thing (do you know what kingyo sukui is? it's a traditional summer festival game... the boys have done it on Mugendai no Gimon before) and try to move it from one bowl to another until they could reach the last fish bowl. There are seven bowls in total and they had to do it in 90 seconds. Mrs. Maruyama did this miraculous thing [spoilers ahead!!] but they didn't make it on time so they had to face yet another penalty. This time, this weird doctor came and told them to hold hands with each other. The seven of them did and the doc made Hina hold this cup and started generating elecricity to it. The boys were all like ohhh dear... and then, Ohkura, who was at the end of the hand-held line, came around and had to touch the elecricity-filled cup that Hina was holding. The power is intense and their reaction is hilarious. It's a must-see!!!!

I'm sorry I don't have the technology to upload these clips, but hopefully someone will be able to and share it with you so that you can see these two hilarious episodes!! If you're a Yasu fan like me, you'd enjoy it for sure!!!

By the way, there is this program called "Pura-chike" right after Honjani in Kansai. It's basically a show that introduces stages, circuses, and all that that go on in the area. Sugimoto-san is in this, too (she's everywhere! she must be really popular). Hina, Baru and Yasu appeared as guests tonight and they were on for like 15 minutes. It was pretty cool! They basically were there to promote their upcoming dome concert. They had four numbers that relate to them and went through each of them. "3" for the three dramas that they did (Dive, Double, Kemarishi); "172" for the number of times they were on stage; "450,000" for the number of copies of Kanfuu Fighting they had prepared in the first week; and "2.25" for the date of the dome event. Yasu taught the hosts how to dance the Kanfuu Fighting dance. The three of them were so dorky that the hosts were like "are you sure this song sold 450,000 copies!?" Hahah. The hosts also were like "you guys are so different from Kattun." The hosts love K8 because they're all Kansai people. They also played a game where they keep on adding air pressure to the balloon until someone makes it explode. If the hosts make it explode, K8 would have 30 seconds of promotion time for their dome event, but only 15 if one of the boys make it explode. One of the hosts blew it up so the boys had 30 seconds of promotion time. Hina did most of the talking and Baru and Yasu each said "Please come!" "We'll have fun!" and that was it, so they had a few extra seconds and Hina wrapped it up nicely. Thank you Hina-chan, hahah.

Anyway (I use this word often, don't I?) these were really fun episodes!! Hope you all get to see them soon!!!
