That's what it feels like when you're at an intersection in life. This summer, I'll probably make some pretty important decisions about what exactly I'm supposed to do while I'm here on Earth. I've finally come to recognize that all my interactions, and all my decisions, however seemingly benign, are actually coming to make a difference in my life ( Read more... )

I put you in the "people I love but don't get to see often" category. Also, let it be known that I don't love you in the faggy kind of way, but the sincere platonic kind. That kind, I think you'll agree, is much better.

Boo to your categories! You have demonstrated that you clearly care about people who don't fit in those categories, so adamantly calling for action in Sudan. You know that all your smallest interactions make a difference in your life, then since you don't live in a bubble but are in fact a part of this whole world, then even those people thousands of miles away will affect you eh? You know, that's quite true. I, being the non-critical thinker that I often am, bought into Paal's categories at first, but you suddenly remind me how much I truly care about all the billions of people I've never met. The new order of categories (from most-loved to least-loved): The indifferent teeming masses, the loved ones, the liked ones, the known ones, the enemies, the communists.

I talked to you about an hour ago before I went to class and I don't think you're drifting away at all.

It's just the engineer in you talking. Your head is on straighter than most people I know that are at this point in their lives.
