Political Discussions Never End Well in Our Home

Thankfully, this post has nothing to do with politics. It does have something to do with a discussion that came as a result of it though, and an almost-entertaining PC World post I found this afternoon.

People simply don't understand how technology affects the way the world works. People don't know that the switch to a digital broadcast will free up all the wireless channels that we need now, since the whole world is basically going wireless. Same thing when they don't understand that hanging on to their 7-year-old PCs running Opera or Netscape is completely counter-productive to web design, for another example. It's frustrating, to say the least.

Also, I skimmed through some of that article and mostly saw "Wah wah wah, I'm bitter that Google and Apple came up with way better products and marketing plans than I did, so I'm going to bitch about it a lot."

Probably because I had only updated MySpace with blogs, neglecting my LJ account something fierce. I try to keep them parallel, but I get distracted.
