:( I was never really a huge fan. But when my coworker Josh came up to me and told me after break "Kris, the bassist for Slipknot died.." there was this empty feeling. The air just went dead. It was... "...oh man no, just, no :(..."
thanks. i'm patiently waiting for the hurt to subside. i've not been this saddened by the passing of someone i didn't know personally in a long time. i broke down crying throughout the day. i even broke down when rick came home.
losing any member of slipknot is like losing a vital organ. the body will probably die without it. on top of his death, this also compounds my sadness. the death of paul will most likely mean the death of slipknot. and as much as it pains me to say it, it'd be for the best. you can't replace paul, you can't replace any of them.
i can't even imagine what his friends and family are going through right now. just thinking about it makes my heart ache.
To me, it feels, no.. it -is- part of a legacy of our generation has died. Some of us may have not been fans-but everyone has heard of them. We all know who they are, we all knew who he was.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.
