Here are two things I have used to help me memorize things:
  • Flashcards work if I need to memorize definitions or named formulas; Name/term on one side and definition on the other.
  • (I guess this really shows my geekiness) I had a hard time remembering the prefixes of carbon chains in Organic chemistry, so I made up a little sentence, "Methyl and Ethyl think it's proper for propy to come before buty." It is very silly, but it works.

Hugs and good luck with the studying. I know you will pass. :-)

You will win! You are going to be a great lawyer!

I don't have any unique or groundbreaking tricks for memorizing - I just sort of make stuff into chants, sometimes the rhythm helps; or else I just write them out over and over in the same order, so if I forget one, I know the list looks wrong and the surrounding items can remind me of the msising one.

It was very nice to have you visit before, and I would be happy anytime you want to visit again! OR hopefully we can do a girl's trip or group vacation sometime in the next year.

this will sound odd, but the thing that makes me memorize stuff is to copy it out a whole bunch. I had a prof who recommended we copy everything we felt we needed to know onto increasingly smaller and smaller bits of paper -- i.e. do one run with an 8 x10, then on a 4x6, then onto a 3x5. Then on test day you tear your little card with tiny cramped writing into a bunch of pieces shouting "I don't need this! I know all this stuff" -- seriously it helps. For some reason explaining things or writing things out always helps me remember them ( ... )
