Well, Saturday was certainly an interesting day.
The day started off well enough, I woke up at a decent time and headed to the gym like a trooper. I ended up seeing the cute boy from a bunch of my classes running on the treadmill, so I went over to say hi. I was standing behind him, because the treadmills all face the walls against a line of mirrors. He seemed pretty excited to see me. So excited, in fact, he turned around to say hi, and forgot to keep running. So the treadmill kept going, and he did not, and it projected him full tilt into me knocking me down. We both rolled several feet across the gym
floor, like when two cartoon characters get in a fight. (I feel the frying pan only adds to this visual).
Needless to say, the entire packed gym laughed at us, and I scampered off to the spin corner like the dork I am.
Saturday was also apparently the day where any guy I have ever dated/hooked up with/entertained a flirtation with decided they needed to make contact. It should be noted I am on pretty good terms with all of these guys (save for one major exception). I'm not one to let my feelings get hurt easily, and I find it easier to just be cordial than to create drama.
So in the afternoon my ex that I dated for about 6 months last year decided to text me to 'check up on me'. This is the same ex who tried to hold the fact I had to move back home for the summer to work for a month against me, and declared he 'probably' wouldn't cheat on me when I tried teasing him about it. That was the wrong answer. I spoke to him once or twice briefly after, but have not really spoken to him since. Then about 20 minutes later, a boy from my hometown (who was my lab partner in grade 9 science!) that I had a flirtation with from around Halloween to Christmas decided to text me. I have not spoken to him since Christmas since he kept bailing on me to hang out with his buddies (all of whom I went to high school with). So out of nowhere, he starts texting me again, wanting to come to see me at my school (he goes to school 6 hours away). What.the.hell?
So the evening comes around and I'm wearing my skirt and new super-cute heels and partying with some girl friends. I run into ANOTHER ex who I have not seen in 3 years. I didn't even know he was still around. He wants to 'catch up' some time. Nope. Then I run into some dude that asked me out a few weeks ago but I rejected. He starts telling me about his 'new, awesome girlfriend'. Neat.
As the night progresses, I'm sending silly/flirty texts to my make-out buddy/good friend of several years. He was calling me 'baby' and all that jazz, and I respond with some winner like, "You better hurry up and get here before I go home with some random boy." (We both know I have no intention of going home with him or any random, its not my style). We just like to see who will text the other the most inappropriate thing.
Anyways, I don't hear from him for a few hours until I get home and my phone starts beeping like crazy. Turns out my makeout/flirty text buddy lost his phone. And guess who found it? Out of every single fucking person in the sizeable city I live in?
My ex. Seriously?! The only one I am not on speaking terms with anymore because he is an absolute crazy person with legit roid rage. He recognizes my number and reads all the sexy texts I sent this guy, and starts texting and calling me repeatedly, trying to figure out who the guy's phone is so he can fight him. So he figures out whose phone it is, and it turns out they KNOW EACH OTHER!!!!!! They used to be good buddies, but are not anymore, because the ex is crazy. And apparently he has always suspected something because he has been, 'keeping an eye on us'. Once again, I had no idea these dudes even knew each other. Le sigh.
So being drunk and a little rambunctious, I just mocked the shit out of my ex until he called me crying. Because the guy who cheated on me the entire time we were dating, then harassed me for years after deserved to be mocked. Just a little bit.
So it's Monday and I still have not heard from either of them since. Why do I suck?
