Wow, I love this style and it looks great on Rime. I can see what you mean about the thickerness of the cables. I used to have a sweater that was a cotton knit, made with a finer yarn than wool. I guess you've considered using something like that?

Rime has so much 'attitude', her hair looks fabulous.

Thanks very much Jesse! Yes, I think I need finer yarn and thinner needles for the cables, though I liked this weight for the main part as I wanted the jumper to look a bit chunky.
