Hey Lynn, congratulations on your new kindle. I love ereaders for ease and convenience, but love books and the smell of walking into a book store, and discovering new and old treasures hands on (holding an amazing book in one's hand and experiencing it's history, etc.). Think I'm rambling!!
I have the first generation of an ipad as my ereader and can download books from amazon. It's the best of both worlds with book reading and a little computing combined. Typical for me, I now have added to my 'to read' book stack . . . books waiting for me on my ereader. :D
PS - easy to carry around multiple books, and instant gratification are some of the keys to successful this format. And moving into the 21st century.
