Extra Texture: New Rowan

Received the new Rowan Magazine (#40) today. I like a lot of the patterns in the "Kindred Spirit" section. I love pattern and rustic type knitwear - a lot of it reminds me of Susan Duckworth from the 70s, and knits in general from the 70s - legwarmers, mittens, waistcoats, short cable cardis, wraparound cardis and mixed with prints like tartan and

OMG...not only are they nice sweaters and stuff, but the pictures are goregous. :)

I love the model's hair - style and colour. Very Celtic! I love the models in the Alice Starmore knitting books for the same reason.

Those are some pretty patterns. I really love the Rowan knit magazines. It's worth the extra $$ to ship it here. :D

Rowan mags are still my favourites, even though Rowan yarn is so expensive! ^_^
