Sledge/Phillips/Snafu, Sid does whatever he can (including breaking his marriage vows) to help his best friend with his nightmares but realizes that what Eugene really needs a friendly phone call from a certain Cajun. Bonus points if Sid admits how jealous he was that Snafu can make Gene better.

So I started writing this, but it's ending up being more Snafu/Sledge with Sid being jealous of Snafu and hints of one-sided Sid/Eugene. Is that okay with anon?

So. not really what you wanted, but inspired by the idea. It's kind of disjointed in places, and it hasn't been read through by anyone but me, but hopefully it's not too awful

He just watches with interest the two of them, how they finish each others sentences and touch each other with the ease only two men who have been through everything together can have. It's only when Snafu slips and calls Eugene Sledgehammer he has to speak up
