I'm up to a lot lately!

I have two large EMS packages that are almost here (with a decent amount of stuff for my collection, and a whole lotta stuff to sell). It would have been super helpful if they could have arrived today so I could have opened and sorted the contents, but it seems they got a bit delayed by customs not being open on Easter. So, tomorrow it is, which is a bit annoying--as I'll almost definitely be gone all of tomorrow. I want to try and get my sales up on Wednesday, but we'll see if I can pull that off, because that's a ton of work for just one day. (Opening, sorting, photographing, uploading photos, writing the post, and then advertising on my Tumblr blogs.) Anyway, fingers crossed that sales go smoothly and that I can manage to sell a lot.

My aunt, uncle, and some of my cousins are visiting from Michigan, so my mom and I have gone down to where my grandma lives, an hour and a half away, the last two days to spend time with them. My mom, brother, and I are planning on going to the ocean tomorrow with the aforementioned relatives, despite the fact that there will likely be thunderstorms going on. It should be fun, nonetheless! We might bring the dogs along as well.

I have two baby pigeons now! I don't think I ever posted about it on LJ, but my pigeon pair hatched a baby three or four weeks ago. I brought all three of the pigeons in so the chickens can't hurt the baby, and the parents have done a wonderful job raising little Pidove. He's almost the same size as his mom and dad now, and he is pretty much fully feathered now, including his wings! Very handsome. Then my mom brought home a baby pigeon she kept seeing all alone at the barn. I'm glad she did, as the baby was underweight. My pigeon parents have refused to parent this baby (fair enough, she's not their baby), so I've been hand-feeding her. She's a very enthusiastic eater and really cute. Still trying to decide on a name for her. I have pictures of all the pigeons on my Tumblr if you'd like to see them: http://pacificpikachu.tumblr.com/tagged/my+pets/

Our foster horse Star, who we've had for years now, is going to a new home next week. I'm going to miss him--he's such a gorgeous horse! He's going to an awesome home with one of my mom's co-workers, though, and I'm sure he's going to get lots of attention and exercise there. He has a great life here of course, but he doesn't get ridden often with us, and I think it'll be more fun for him to get out on the trails regularly. The lady who's adopting him from us is super excited about him, which I'm happy about. He deserves someone who is going to adore him. We're fostering another horse through our local shelter for now (Scout, a little Arab mix mare who hasn't been handled much). Rivie, my mom's thoroughbred, is currently being boarded at a stable (which Mom does every winter), but he'll be coming back to our property once Star goes to his new home. My mom will probably rescue a second thoroughbred eventually, because thoroughbreds are what she's really passionate about and she's been talking about adopting another thoroughbred for years.

Aaaand I'm heading back to Tokyo in just over two weeks! I'm super excited, though it's coming up so fast that it's hard to believe! I have lots to do before then. I keep having flashbacks to my October trip and just feeling incredibly grateful that I get to go back so soon and have some fun for a week.

I've started planning my Japan 2016 trip already, too! The dates I'm most likely shooting for are February 26th (leaving the 25th) through March 15th, with the trip split just about evenly between Tokyo and Kyoto. I can't get too gung-ho on planning that trip until I get back from my upcoming trip, of course, haha, but it's nice to think about anyway! hebilea is definitely going, and pheonixxfoxx is hoping to come along as well! Perhaps others? I had a lot of Tumblr friends express interest in going on that trip, but we'll see who comes through.

I also have the following things coming up: Fanime, Anime Expo, Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions, and SacAnime, plus a possible fall trip with my mom and brother to Washington DC. So, there's a lot to be excited about and prepare for!
