Okay, I like the Shins and all, and I guess the Office is an alright, still type of show, and fully acknowledge both have popularity amongst the indie crowd, as do David Cross, and the (deserved) anti-Dane Cook sentiment of the same crowd

What is it with this anti-Dane Cook thing? My wife & I have been noticing it a lot lately. I mean, Carrot Top, I can understand, but why Dane Cook? ;-)

Found some criticisms of Dane Cook from Wikipedia.

Seems like some comedians have accused him of being arrogant & plagiarizing them. As for others, it seems that much of the criticism is from those who just don't like observational humor (or at least his brand of it).
