Not quite the Big News....yet...
To steal from our MIA friend Shelby....AHOLY CRAP! I am only 5 weeks away from my due date! That's scary and exciting all in one. I know that not all babies come on time, but I'm hoping that my little boy comes a little early or dang close to on time. Being pregnant is absolutely amazing! See, us guys are just completely mystified and confused by the process. There was a woman at my work who I was pregnant and was talking about maternity leave and I was like "so how much time do you take before you have the baby?" And then I got looked at like I was completely stupid (which I am). Contrary to how we tend to think, it would appear that it's not a constantly grueling and agonizing process, but I still hear that... it... has it moments.
Anyway, this just goes to show how amazingly clueless we are and how superawesome you are. This brings to mind an old cross country coach. Was like so many months pregnant and ran a 5K race, stopping to pee once, and got a time comparable to my freshman times. That's just... wow.
And APO will be SOOO glad to see you. We've got a ton of new people, but the old-schoolers are representing better than you may think. WOOT WOOT
