MOZ ANGELES!

Nov 13, 2004 12:29

I FINALLY saw him last night at the Universal Amphitheater. (This was my first Moz concert EVER guys, so if you've seen him, understand that my bliss and joy stems from this being my first experience. I know the songs are old, but I've never been able to witness them live). OMG! I was so fucking amazed and excited. It was incredibly beautiful. I had horribleness seats, but at least I still had a great time. My friend Elvira was standing right in front of me ha! I haven't seen her since the Convention in July. We talked a bit about how the show was last night, met her boyfriend. However, we didn't get to see our friend Gerardo from Baja. He told me he was row U, which would have been right behind me, but I didn't see him.

Nancy Sinatra was so classy. I guess what she was singing was some new songs. The first song she sang was the one on the Kill Bill soundtrack. . When she sang "These Boots Were Made For Walking" people got all excited and started dancing. It was cute cause the guitarist and bass player had little solos before the famous horns come in at the end.

When I found out that Nancy was opening for him, I thought, "Oh cool! They're gonna sing "Let Me Kiss You" together! And then I started dreaming of how fucking cool it would be if Pete Burns came out to sing "Barbarism Begins At Home" with Moz. I totally would have just passed out Well, neither of those things happened. Nancy sang "I Like You" with her band, and Moz sang it with the boys. I suppose they wanted their own spotlights haha.

Before I begin my Moz details, here is the setlist:

How Soon Is Now?/First of the Gang to Die/NOVEMBER SPAWNED A MONSTER (girly scream)/Don't Make Fun of Daddy's Voice/ I Like You/ Bigmouth Strikes Again/ Let Me Kiss You/ Munich Air Disaster 1958/ Rubber Ring/ Irish Blood, English Heart/ I'm Playing Easy to Get/ The World is Full of Crashing Bores/ Now My Heart is Full/ The Never Played Symphonies/ I Have Forgiven Jesus/ Subway Train (intro) Everyday Is Like Sunday/ You Know I Couldn't Last/ (Encore 1)The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get/ (Encore 2) Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me/ (Encore 3) There Is A Light That Never Goes Out

(Just so you know, I'll be using acronyms of the songs. So check out the letters, match em up with a song, and you'll know what I'm talking about!)

As much as 95 percent of Smiths fans place HSIN as their least favorite song, it sounded REALLY GOOD. I couldn't believe it.

I'm really sad to say that I noticed how most people were pretty much there for FOTGTD, IBEH, BSA, and EILS, meaning, these are the IBES generation of Moz fans. It's kinda sad, but I guess that's how they want it to be.

NSAM. OMFG! I had all these images of him humping the tress in the desert, the bandage, the apple. BLISS I TELL YOU!

RUBBER RING! Holy motherfucking shit. I knew he was singing this on the tour, but I didn't think he'd sing it in LA. It was super sex! (Well, the whole experience was super sex).

When the opening music for NMHIF began playing, I kinda froze. Then when I heard, "There's gonna be some trouble..." I began to cry. Cees just held me. He thought something was wrong, but nothing was. It just sounded so beautiful and I guess it struck a chord with me. Simply amazing.

2 stage invaders. We cheered them on! Moz obviously helped them on stage. It was beautiful.

Someone threw a cup of beer/soda/some refreshment on stage and it almost got MOZ! It was like the person was aiming at him. That made no sense.

Moz LOVES Los Angeles! :) But we all knew that, cause why would he live here if he didn't like it? He was SUPER talkative and he looked very much in shape! I think he worked off that belly of his. Oh, by the way, he took his shirt off 3 times. He even rubbed the shirt ALL OVER HIMSELF, collecting sweat and brushing up against body parts *screams* It was HOT. He actually said, "Los Angeles! You're HOT!" *le sigh*

He said he didn't understand how Bush was still in office. Then he said, "4 more years. Jesus, I can't stand 5 more minutes."

He spoke to Julia (as usual). She said she wanted Moz to be
"very very happy," to which Moz replied, "You're dreaming!"

He made some funny gibberish noise that was so cute! LOL.

I know he said a lot more than that, but my mind escapes me. I can't wait to see Moz again. And it WILL happen. People have been talking about this being his last tour, IT CAN'T BE! It just can't. I think he at least has one more up his sleeve.

I LOVE YOU MORRISSEY!!!!!<3<3<3
