TiVo can be amusing

Ok... so I've told my TiVo to record a handful of movies here and there.. ones which I've never seen and wouldn't pay the $$ to rent the movie or even NetFlix them. So I tell TiVo to get BladeRunner, and it does... much to my chagrin it pulls it from the Spanish channel which made for a very boring flight back to Richmond :)

Haha, awesome. Once, when I was one of the managers at a theater - the Bruce Willis movie "Tears of the Sun" came out. They put the film reels together and after the theater closed some of us watched it. We're going along and all of a sudden - they begin speaking in French. Turns out we got an entire reel (20 minutes) dubbed in French. I still don't know what they were saying. Oh, except "morphine" is pronounced the same in French as it is in English.

My solution for that is to remove foreign language channels from the Channels I Receive list. (Hi, I run tivolovers)

yeah... but I still run into the problem where online scheduling ignores what channels I do and do not receive. only happens periodically, but makes searching for movies to watch at work really aggrivating since it keeps wanting to add HBO and ShowTime to my list.
