I recommend getting 'out there' and doing what you love to do and doing it quite often. Last week I was cameraman on Rodney's film excursion and it was loads of fun. I cannot wait until the next shoot. I went to the Aurora Picture show on Saturday with Mike and Kerrick and we watched some found 16mm reel films. They were short public service ( Read more... )

i've got kind of an odd question - what's kerrick's last name? and/or is he black? i ask because i've known only one person by that name, and it was a black kid my age in houston, who could draw, so i was wondering if it's the same guy.

I can't believe that the FCC arrests people just broadcasting their own thing but permits the facism known as Clear Channel to promote their narrow agenda of crap to the masses at large. We need a revolution: first we get rid of Rush and the Clear Channel and then the FCC and then we have anarchist radio. This is what freedom of speech and expression is about. I agree with your views on the FCC- Fascist Controlled Communication. For the most part anyway. I mean some regulation is needed, yes...but it does seem like they could loosen their stranglehold a bit.

I would love to hear that reggae version of 'Ring of Fire'. Perhaps my buddy Mr. Dictionary would know- he is quite the specialist in finding alternate versions and remakes like that.

Good luck on the monoprints and the intaglio! I must see the finished products!

I haven't printed the intaglios yet. I might be going to Italy in the fall for a week.

Thats too funny. Without the FCC, the only people you would hear on radio would be those rich enough to afford powerful transmitters, the ones that cause FLKs (Funny-Looking Kids ( ... )

I am working on some pieces to put in a juried show in New York City. I am going to back to the iris motif. I have time against me but it is something to shoot for. The monoprinting is frustarting...I started a second last night and the paper stuck to it during the 4th run through the press. I don't know why. I need to get in there again today and start over. Most likely I will end up drawing on top of this anyway...

Also I am going to shoot for the Toledo Area Artists show...this one is hard to get into...I made it in once though.

What is up with you?
