It's probably better to get an AA:

Associate of Arts Degree - (Minimum of 32 credits in Arts and Sciences.) This is the traditional, liberal arts associate's degree. Students do not have to follow a senior college or university transfer plan to earn an Associate of Arts degree. This degree requires that students are exposed to the full range of arts and sciences areas, including English, mathematics and science, humanities, social science and physical and health education. While not specifically a transfer degree, students who decide to transfer will find that many of the courses they have taken to earn this degree will fulfill the general education and other requirements of senior institutions.
