Brief summary: The Mogblog is born! Onward to Leo's rescue Padarak goes!
Status: Ongoing

It was a bright new day in the peaceful Castle Town of Padarak. The sky was unusually clear except for a few clouds that floated up in clumps across the horizon. Today, in spite of the gloom that had prevailed in the recent months as a result of its young King's abrupt disappearance, the city was basked in an array of festivities to mark the humble beginnings of a new program in the form of a holiday; the Mogblog.

Emerging from the Royal Castle, King Epitav, or rather, Acting-King Epitav, marched down the stairs into the lower Castle Town confidently. After King Leo's disappearance, the aging former ruler of Padarak was forced to once again take to the throne. It had been a choice made without difficulty for all; everyone only wished for the safe and swift return of King Leo, and for that goal to be realized, a leader was required to lead them all.

A small pavilion had been built right in front of the Crystal, decorated with brightly colored flowers, and of balloons of an even wider-range of colors. The Acting King walked towards this, and was warmly greeted by Padarak's Royal Chancellor, Lady Chime; a young woman whose wisdom was beyond her years.

"How are the preparations?" Epitav asked after a brief examination of the preparations Chime was making.

"They're going well, if I may say so, your highness," Chime said cheerfully. "All should go well today. Of course, you are going to have to deliver your speech, so I believe you should be able to answer that question yourself."

Epitav made a light chuckle, recognizing the subtle challenge in that voice and turned to survey the city from where he stood in the pavilion. Padarak had grown so much more from the time Epitav had ruled it. It could only be a testament of how Leo, who had inherited the late Queen's better sensibilities rather than Epitav's own brashness, was the more effective ruler between them two.

"I will be certain to convey the urgency of our plight to everyone once more, and, of course, the need to foster a greater sense of unity for everyone," Epitav declared proudly. Chime beamed in open approval.

…It was curious, that in a city with its King missing and with a plethora of foreign faces emerging that Padarak still maintained the slight festive touch that it had originally been built with. Even more curious still, was the lack of alarm He sensed among the natives and the ruling regent. King Leo had gotten in His way before and He had been injured. He had taken time to heal, had waited until It was ready again  before it could strike and strike It did.

King Leo was out of the picture. The epic prince and saving star of the city that everyone loved and adored. Their precious little King that had united the four chief races against Him and through a stroke of luck had managed to disable Him from power. It would not last for long, no, they could enjoy their slow peace and optimistic views for as long as they wanted, in the end and this time, He would be smarter…

Later that afternoon, the Crystal Circle was packed with people; mostly of the natives of course, but he recognized a few faces in the crowd to only belong to the strangers that hailed in the other world. Strangers that he hoped had answered the Crystal's call because they too carried kind, helpful hearts. There was no telling what sort of people the Crystal allowed to 'immigrate' into Padarak, but as the Acting-King, Epitav would welcome them to his world.

After a brief introduction by Chancellor Chime - an unnecessary ceremony that had to be done anyway - Epitav ascended up to the podium at the center of the pavilion with a magical MogBlog (MMB) in hand. He cleared his throat at first, before beginning with a speech he'd only rehearsed once in front of an ever-helpful Pavlov who accurately emulated all possible reactions to his speech ranging from overjoyed, awed, and to downright bored to death.

"To the people of Padarak, my people, I stand here before you to announce the completion of the Mogblog after long weeks of toil. To those that have only recently arrived from other worlds; I bid you welcome to our humble city and kingdom. I also offer our deepest gratitude for answering the Crystal's call regardless of what your eventual plans may be in this world.

It has only been a scant several months since my beloved son, your true King, Leo's disappearance. We know not to where he has disappeared to, or for what purpose; if it were voluntary or not, we know not as well. Some of you suspect the Dark Lord's hand in this dark occurrence.  I do not discount the possibility, but I also cannot either say otherwise.  However, I do know, that so long as our hopes unite, we stand a chance of having my son returned, not only to me, but to us all, to Padarak.

I hope that in the creation of this new device, we will be able to foster a greater sense of unity; through understanding and friendships. One that will stand against this blight that has come upon our fair land, and eventually return its true and rightful King to the throne.

As I have said repeatedly, this request does not come empty-handed. To anyone at all that returns us our King, great rewards will be bestowed upon him or her. The moogles and members of the Padarak Welcoming Committee will be handing out pamphlets to explain the mechanics of the Mogblog to help you along. Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to ask these of them.

Finally, let us continue to work together to prevent King Leo's efforts in this city from coming to a spoil!  King Leo laid its foundations anew, let us not let those foundations crumble in his temporary disappearance. Together, I believe, we can bring him back, and create new memories towards a brand new, and even brighter future!"
