So many things like that are benign. I had an area checked.....the knife happy surgeon of course wanted to operate. I contacted Susan Komen who referred me to a breast surgeon who sent me for special imaging
They inject some dye and then the machine scans both breasts inspecting each cell of the breast to determine if it is cancerous.
It came back clean. The radiologist told me "there are many cells in the body which are abnormal but that does not mean they are cancer"

Eeep @ the knife-happy surgeon. But very glad you're okay, too. :)

Glad that the majority tend to be benign...which really I think we all know but when you first brush up against it immediately you think the 'C' word.

I just really had to stop and remember...God's got this. Whatever happens, He is in control of my situation.

As I headed to my second opinion and then on to the imaging session, I figured
He brought me through 2003 with the brain surgeries, the massive crash following the second one and then mom's death shortly after I left skilled nursing, so the rest is His also.

So very happy your lump is just a cyst - or at least most probably just a cyst. I just had to have a biopsy for an abnormal pap smear (abnormal cells, not cancerous) and it turned out okay. Had me a little concerned though. Keep a close eye on it though.

Best wishes to your sister in her upcoming marriage. And have fun at Shore Leave!!!!!

I'm happy, too! But you know...this morning when I first got up, before I went to my appointment, I had a reminder of what I posted above--that God is in control of my situation. And I prayed that whatever would give Him the most glory would just be. If facing down cancer would give Him glory, then okay. If having it just be nothing would give Him glory, then okay.

Of course, I was glad to hear the doc's opinion that it's just a cyst. :) So..I'm thanking God that it was just a cyst. He's watchin' over me.
