A bit of advice I always give to my newly pregnant friends. Keep yourself well lubed! You know the bit between your bum hole and chuff (of course you do being a nurse and all that, lol) massage it with oily stuff (I used vasaline) and it'll reduce your chances of tearing. I remember reading it in a book and did it religiously every night for a good 6 months. Shocked the hell out of Jazz the first time he walked into the bathroom to see me squating, with an industrial sized tub of vasaline in my hands *snigger* Anyway, I popped out a 8lb 11oz and 11lb 10 1/2oz without a tear. That said, I do have a bucket chuff ;o)
Also now you get a free dentist use it to death. I must have saved a fortune going all the time to get bits fixed when I was pregnant.
I never knew that.... not that it mattered as I had a c-section anyway.
Oh you can also get free chiropdy treatment too - all that extra weight your feet have to endure - means neat toe nails and the rough bits taken off ;o)
Hey cool - I didnt know any of the above, least of all the lubed perineum bit - makes sense though; have also started moisturising the belly too, I have a horrid feeling I am going to be HUGE!!
