Eh, I actually I do suck at the whole rec/review thing, my first instinct is just to write "OMG THIS IS AWESOME GO READ IT NOW" (which is kinda what I did anyway), but I did try to be a bit more articulate this time... :-)

Anyway...yes, do check out Richelle Mead's books, they're definitely worth the money. Also, I'd love to know what you think about them...especially the last "Succubus" one. It totally broke my heart and I need to cry talk with someone about it...;))

These sound like something I would really enjoy checking out. I need some fresh material and these sound right up my alley! Thank You!

I have been waiting for you to make a book post to tell you that I am also a HUGE Black Dagger Brotherhood fan. Zadist is my favorite and even though the last book was kinda off IMO - I can't wait to get my hands on the Insiders Guide. Hells bells! Didn't realize it was already upon us - I need to get that coming!

;D

You're welcome! I'm sure you'll love them all...Richelle Mead is truly an amazing writer, I adore her. :-)

Yay! I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood books in a "guilty pleasure" kind of way, 'cos even tho they're extremely entertaining (and addictive!) I know that the writing is not exactly the best thing ever...;))
Zadist is my favorite too and I agree that the last book (the latest two, actually) was kind of "meh". I'm afraid the series is going to die slowly and painfully...but I still love the first few books!

I can't wait to get my hands on the Insiders Guide.

Me too! There should be a short story about Zsadist and Bella so it's definitely worth reading! :D

Ditto.

And Zsadist and Bella are the whole reason I trudged threw Phury's book to be honest. I agree that the first 3 books were amazing but the last three have been 'meh' - I want to blame the last 3 'heroines' since I didn't really like any of the 3 (well, Jane was alright - and I love Viscious - but some of what she did in that book story wise was just off the mark IMO). I also hate that we hardly hear anything about Rhage and Mary anymore ( ... )

Yayyyy! Your recs just made my day. I've been blue, because I've run out of UF books and have resorted to rereading some new UF books I found this summer. (Have you read Magic Bites and Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews? She's the one who finally pushed me into creating my own UF world. I'm not typically a fan of so much Fantasy, since I prefer a realistic mix of the Urban and Fantasy, but for some reason, these books did it. Amazing characterization, wonderful dialogue, great action scenes...I hope you try them out! Since characters are the things that do it for you, I think you'll really like the series ( ... )

I just noticed your links on the side, and IA's name is there. YAY! What did you think of the series?!?!?!?!?!??!

Also saw Caitlin Kittredge, and I agree with what you said about her first novel. The series has potential. I found myself skimming a few scenes, and I will admit, I have a really hard time believing romances that progress so quickly within the course of one book. I enjoy a series more when the romance progresses slowly, over the course of a few books. I believe it makes the characters themselves stronger, and a relationship more realistic. That was the only real issue I had wtih it, so I think I'll check out the second Noctourne City novel. :)

Eeee, as I said, I love it very much. I think the whole concept of a world stuck between a tech-time and a magic-time is pure genius. Her characterization is also pretty awesome as is her dialog. In conclusion: love. ♥

Yes, yes! I absolutely agree!!! *nods*

Of course I have. ;-)

I adore her books, she's another author that can bring her characters to life with her amazing writing, and her world is one of the most original UF "setting" I've ever seen. I can't wait to read the next one!

I'm really glad to hear that her Succubus series isn't all romance. That's the only reason why I haven't touched them...romance is fun, and I definitely enjoy sparks between characters, but I prefer if sex didn't run the entire series. I'll have to check it out!!!

You won't be disappointed! There is some romance in the books, but the falling in love process for Georgina is nothing like you'd find in a romance novel. Falling in love changes Georgina to the core, makes her challenge her very nature and...well...I don't want to spoil you too much much the third book in the series will break your heart. *cries*

I've also looked at her Vampire Academy series, and have had it in my hand to buy, but never went through with it. Strangely it took a ( ... )

I'll need to check 'em out. I'm actually a big fan of the YA genre, even though I'm long past that target age group.

You'll love her books, I'm sure of it! :-)

Eh, I normally don't like YA stuff, but there are a few exceptions (mostly YA books from my favorite adult books), Richelle Mead is one of them.

If you haven't read them yet, I also recommend Cassandra Claire, Kelley Armstrong's "Darkest Powers", PC Cast & Kristin Cast and Rachel Caine's "Morganiville Vampires".

Those are all the YA books I read so far and even tho I'm not omg totally crazy about them, I do like them (some more than others) and maybe you'll like them too. ;-)
