How can JD Robb be so freaking awesome? How? *ponders*
After I finished the new "In Death" book
"Promises in Death" I just couldn't leave Eve and Roarke's world... I had to stay there a bit longer and bask in the awesome-ness of this series, so I'm re-reading some of my favorite ones: so. much. love.. *happy sigh

Is PD Robb a pseudonym for Nora Roberts, or v.v.? Yes, I've read two books written by her, but probably I borrowed the wrong ones. I should have started from the beginning of the series. This way, I understood nothing. I mixed up the past, future and present events, and I failed to come to grips with their love.

JD Robb is indeed Nora Roberts although the style of the "In Death" series is quite different from her other books (hence the different name, I think).
You should definitely read the books in order and from the beginning (and possibly in English), otherwise you'll miss all the little (or not so little) nuances and most of all, the characters' evolution through the series.
Give it another chance if you can, this series is totally worth it! *nods*

I don't think I've read them all, but many of them. Nora Roberts is consistently a good author, IMO.

Ah! Interesting... ;)
Nora Roberts is consistently a good author
That's the thing that totally amazes me...she wrote, let me think...34 (?) books (short novels included) in the "In Death" series and even tho some books are definitely better than others, I can honestly say I enjoyed them all. And each and every one of them brought something to the general storyline and to the characters.
I think that being still so good after all these books is pretty amazing. :-)

Yes, yes, me too! :D
...and Roarke is every woman's dream husband.
Tell me about it. :-) I'm usually a pretty non-gushy "cut and dried" kinda girl...but Roarke...*happy sigh*
I really love to reread Naked In Death, when they first meet and he keeps that gray button and has it to this day!
Me too! After I read a new book in the series I always, always re-read the first book (and usually the others at least till the marriage *g*). They were so different back then, but the intensity was already mind-blowing! ♥

I even have several of my Nora Roberts and JD Robb books personally autographed when I went to her husbands bookstore.
Awww, that's wonderful! I'm always a bit afraid to mix fantasy (the books) and reality (the authors) but I'm sure she's pretty wonderful, isn't she?

on some of these writers?

Yay! Remember to start from the first book (she wrote 34 of them and you'll have to read them in order to fully appreciate the story) and, well, it's not "deep", philosophical literature, but it's entertaining and addictive and fun!
