Merci! Wasn't sure you'd remember with the trial looming down on us and all (frankly, I'm a bit surprised my parents remembered), and you were so generous! I'll have to stop off at Gladrags as well as Lockhart's Luscious Locks next Hogsmeade weekend (he says he'll do my hair personally! Is that not divine? Not that I don't trust Ron with the scissors, but he made me look soooo gorgeous for Claude's wedding, that...oui).
I talked to Harry so I'm not quite as hacked off as I was before, which is good. I understand things a little better. I guess fifth year was weird for all of us.
Thanks for the words...they do mean a lot, and I hope so too. Here's to this trial starting off a good year for the both of us. I know what wish is going for my candles should I end up with cake at all today.

How could I forget? Though you're right, the trial's been terribly distracting. I'm not sure if I'm ready for it... But then, I'll never be ready, really. Anyway. Glad you liked the present! I really hope you'll find some thing (or some things!) nice with it, and I thought it was much safer to let you choose yourself, because I didn't want to put you in the awkward position of having to pretend to like something! And good luck with your haircut.

I don't know. Apparently a lot of people remembered though - a lot more than I was expecting with my popularity in the school at the moment. I hope I'm ready. I know what I saw, tu sais? I know he's a guilty as a...well, as possible.

Yeah, it really was in many ways.
I've heard that people like Su who were sick have lost their magic. I really hope that doesn't happen to you - that won't look good at the trial. Then again, Filch doesn't have any either.

Well, birthdays are important things. And although the eighteenth isn't quite as important as the seventeenth, it's still important. I know what you mean-- I just hope we can bring him down and then never have to hear anymore about it though I know it's not that easy.
I hope I don't lose my magic! I haven't yet, but then, I was late to come down with this thing. That would look really bad at the trial... Though I won't need magic, will I? But still. Not a good look, really.
