Pad,
I would've written back yesterday but I had some last minute Christmas shopping to do - my stupid brother needed my help to get something for mum... Anyway, sorry about Parvati. I know you guys are close so it must've taken something really big to push her into moving out like that. But, you know, maybe it's for the better. I mean, I'm sure it hurts to have her leave on a bad note like this, especially right before Christmas, but how much longer could you two really have lived together with all of your differences? I know, I'm not helping, right?
Things have been pretty tame around here, despite the fact that all the cousins are coming here and mum's been going crazy with the cleaning. By now, dad and I have figured out that it's better to just let her be and stay out of the way. Can't wait until everyone gets here - we're going to have a redo of last year's hockey match. Hopefully it won't end as badly as last time.
How about Boxing Day you and I meet somewhere and we can catch up?

Terry,
I'm glad you're going to have a nice gathering for Christmas. We have our little get together but it's nothing special since it's not our holiday- mostly for the younger kids like our cousins' babies. Tell your parents I say hi.
As for Boxing Day, that sounds fun. If you want, just meet me in Diagon Alley and we can have a dinner and a movie at my house. I got a letter from Su Li- she's back from her big trip but not for long. She sends her wishes. Hopefully Mum lets me use her owl for a few more weeks.

Pad,
So, Boxing Day's a plan then. What time do you want to meet? As long as its after noon, I don't really care when. But I have the feeling that I'm going to end up staying up late with my cousins doing... something cousin-like. Probably some brainless sports thing... But since Christmas is the only time I get to see these guys I suppose I can humour them.
Sorry, I can't write much more. My grandparents have arrived from France and they're complaining about how they never get to see me. That seems to be everybody's problem nowadays. Can't imagine why...
