On buying a new guitar

I stopped at the Guitar Center this weekend to browse their guitars and get a better idea of what I'm looking for in a new guitar, and how much it will cost me. I need a new accoustic-electric guitar. Currently I have a cheap Fender accoustic... it's been fixed up and plays better now than it did when I got it, but I feel like it's holding me back
