My brother and I knew a lot of guitar people, and we both played marginally (his son apparently inherited our portions of the family talent). We could play a lot of Beatles songs. What made the early Beatles so great wasn't that they were brilliant musicians: their music was deceptively simple. It was, as in all great music, in the delivery. Their technique can be duplicated, but the passion, the energy, the craziness that turned the world upside down - we'll never see the likes of that again.
