I was browsing communities today and noticed that scarletk8 had spammedseveral of the communities for central Florida with links to a petition opposing the banning of pit bulls in Denver, Colorado

That was about the stupidest argument anyone has ever done. She really has no basis for it, especially when you pointed out how the number of attacks would drop if they were eliminated. I agree.
I still dont like you, and dont know why you added me.. but I randomly see what you are up too & thought I would let you know that 3 nights ago my son's dog (at his father's house) was shot at almost point blank range 5 times, By a cop who was 3 feet away, with his arm extended it made the gun about 1 foot away from the dog. Anyways the dog was only barking at the cop because they were called for a argument, the cop left the house door open & never gave anyone in the house a chance to bring the dog back in the house after the dog walked past the cop, down the porch & stopped to bark at him while he stood by the door, the dog then was about 8 feet away from him. The cop walked down the porch & around the dog, turned around aimed his gun at my son't dog...the dog never snapped or looked like he was going to attack he was only barking and the cop decided it was ok to put 5 bullets threw my son's dog. Not one of the bullets stayed in his body because he shot him so close & all the bullets hit the cement or porch steps.. so now when my

Ehh.. I already know my typo's I was going fast.. please don't bash me. As much as I didn't like the dog or pitbulls, I think most if not trained are dangerous, there was still no reason to shoot the dog 5 times that close.
Without getting into too much detail (I kind of like the level of anonymity I am able to sustain in this journal), I tend to make it a habit to not second-guess the actions of police officers unless blatantly stupid.
Anyway, while I would never discredit a police officer for shooting a dog if he honestly felt the dog was going to attack him (getting holes put in you by a pit bull isn't part of the job description), it sounds as though the officer made a rather bad decision. If he was able to get past the dog and to the fence, then there's little or no justification for shooting the animal.
While I personally do not care for pit bulls, it saddens me to hear of this incident solely because it was someone's pet. Even more so, because it was a kids pet.
And regarding the typos, some people just come here begging for someone to mark up their poorly written claims that someone else is stupid. You don't fit that build.
