I guess it all depends on the situation and the guy's motive. A little quality time never hurt anybody, but I do agree with you on the friends should be ranked at an equal level with chicks in the sense that you shouldn't abandon reason so you can bury yourself deep in some obsessive romantic crap - and it's not like you're married either.

I dunno, maybe a lot of folks really are just bizarre masochists, but damn, I already know how that feels - having someone unnecessarily dictate and control your time and freedom. It sucks balls so bad that I am left baffled why anyone would want to subject themselves to that for too long.

And for the record, thank God for true friends who have the balls to tell you off when you're making an idiot out of yourself. Anyway, take it easy, Pangs! When I'm done with my thesis, we should really hang out.
