little lamb
we live in town, so farm animals are pretty much out of the question. however, we have friends that have a sheep farm, and they have had a crappy lambing season. they had one mama die and a few others reject their babies.
we took the sickest, smallest, weakest lamb to foster until she is more or less weaned. we figured she would die the first night, but she did not and now she seems to get stronger by the minute. she is so sweet and we just adore her.
the bunnies like to cuddle her, and my irish wolfhound wants to wash her a lot. i'm amazed at how good he is with little animals. he is a sight hound, and should want to chase and kill anything smaller, but he just doesn't. he is the most amazingly gentle dog.
