After my kids got back home from visiting their grandparents, and attending Catholic church with them, at bedtime my daughter informed me that there was one god who was in charge

Yikes. I'm glad you're still having her question things at her age; it's really important for children to be as open-minded as possible. Keep up what you're doing. :)

(Those are good analogies, though, to the idea of gods and spirits. I'll have to use it myself!)
