Ha, maybe I should add to that last post. Dear Athena is 13 months old. She has been going through the separation thing since she was 10 months. I normally leave for work before she gets up, so, the morning thing isn't so hard. Its after I come home in the evening that's really hard. The whole leaving before she's awake might be the problem.

My friend would leave before her kid was up and the kid always though mom was never comming back. So she took him aside, gave him a clock and put stickers on it show him where the big hand and little hand would be when she'd get home. She gave herself an extra hour just in case anything happened and if she ended up being later than that she always called and spoke directly to him. When she'd be ready to go she'd wake him up to say goodbye and then leave. The first week or so was hard with alot of crying but after that things were ok.
